AI4Gov-X
The AI4Gov initiative addresses the critical AI skills gap in the public sector by developing “functional specialists”: professionals who combine domain expertise with practical AI knowledge, including legal, regulatory, and ethical aspects.
Originally a pilot, the program vastly exceeded expectations, evolving into a joint master’s degree, attracting global recognition, and earning the Digital Skills Prize 2023. Building on this success, AI4Gov-X expands the initiative into a project with over 40 partners.
BioNT
The BioNT project supports quality assurance in short, lifelong learning courses for biotech and biomedical sectors. Its Excel-based self-assessment tool translates new European microcredential recommendations into a practical framework, enabling providers to quickly evaluate course readiness and identify areas for improvement. Designed for both new and existing courses, the tool offers a rapid “reality check” and guides adjustments to achieve compliance with evolving standards.
CyberSecPro
The CyberSecPro project bridges higher education and industry to address cybersecurity skills gaps, with a focus on the maritime sector. Its innovative training integrates human factors with technical knowledge, emphasising soft skills, ethical practices, and organisational culture. By combining practical modules, summer and winter schools, and experiential learning, CyberSecPro equips professionals to navigate legacy systems, evolving threats, and human error, fostering a security-first mindset across the maritime industry.
DIS4SME
The DIS4SME project showcases a practical, market-driven approach to micro-credentials for the geospatial and space downstream sectors. Responding to strong demand from SMEs and public bodies, the initiative delivered short, up-to-date training on data interoperability and applied business cases. By adopting the European Digital Certification Infrastructure (EDCI), DIS4SME issued trusted, verifiable EU-aligned credentials to 500 learners.
